Hello? Is it me your looking for?

I know. I disappeared for months and I said nothing. I didn't even drop in a note to say hi. And you may (or may not) have a question or two about where I went.

So let's just get some of the basics out of the way ...

Last November I took medical leave for an illness I've been struggling with for the last six years. Bakersfield hospitals, God bless them, weren't able to get the job done, so I went to Los Angeles for treatment. I came back to work part time in January and returned to working full time in the spring. While I LOVED being entertainment reporter, I realized that I needed a break from the beat. I was made a general assignment reporter for our lifestyle section, Eye Street.

As for my health, I'm a lot better. It's a one-day-at-time sort of situation, but it is better.

I'm sorry that I just sort of disappeared without a trace. But if I hadn't, things might have ended rather ugly.

That said, I will continue to comment and rant and ramble on ye olde blog. I'll try to slowly get back up to speed and then we'll take it from there. We'll discuss old business and new business and why Paris Hilton's new song is so crappy. It'll be great. But be patient with me ... Until things smooth out I can't promise any sort of regular, daily blogging.
